Car Insurance  Apr 27th, 2017

Understanding Your Auto Loan  Apr 7th, 2017 
The topic for today is understanding your simple interest auto loan.  Your auto loan is calculated using the simple interest method.  We calculate the interest on your loan by multiplying the outstanding principal balance by the daily interest rate.  In other words, you pay us interest based on how much principal you owe and the number of days you owe it.  

Paying on time makes it EASY!!!  If you make all your regular payments on time as scheduled and there are no extra charges to your account, you should expect to pay no more or less than you agreed.

Paying late.....costs you money!  When we receive your payment, first the outstanding interest is paid then the remaining amount is applied to your principal balance.  Other actions that drive up your costs:  Missing a payment and moving your due date.

WAYS TO HELP YOU SAVE MONEY AND TIME

- Pay on time:  Extra days between payments means extra interest

- Pay Extra:  Adding a little more to your regular payment each time or making an additional lump sum payment will help lower your loan balance faster and reduce the interest that accrues on your loan

Making an Informed Purchase Decision  Mar 31st, 2017 

This week we are discussing the importance of making an informed decision when purchasing any used buy here pay here vehicle.  At Approved Auto of America, we do everything we can to make sure our inventory is of the highest quality and our closing paperwork is as thorough as possible.  With that said, it is very important that as a consumer you take responsibility in making a smart purchase.  There are a few simple steps you can take to assure you make the wisest decision possible when buying your quality pre-owned car, truck, van, or suv.

 

1.         Take the vehicle on a rigorous test drive.  Don't just test drive around the block. Use this time as an opportunity to see how the automobile performs at varying speeds and road types such as side streets and highways.

 

2.         Ask for a vehicle history report.  At Approved Auto of America, we have a vehicle history report available for free on every car on the lot.  

 

3.         Ask about extended service agreements.  We have warranties available on every vehicle.  Make sure to ask your finance manager how to protect your investment.

 

4.         Listen and read carefully when signing your closing paperwork.  I can't stress this enough.  Ask any questions you may have and don't sign anything until you are 100% comfortable with our policies and your car loan.  Remember, once you sign your contract you have made a legal commitment to fulfill the terms of the agreement.  So it's crucial you understand everything that entails before you sign.
